How to Assist a Client With Social Security Billing & ACH Authorization
This guide is for agents assisting clients with completing the Social Security Billing and ACH Authorization process through the secure e-signature workflow. Use these steps to walk the client through the process and answer common questions. Social Security Billing (SSB) is only available when the client completes the payment authorization form via text or email. Voice authorization is not available for SSB. Voice authorization is available standard recurring only.
Before Assisting the Client
- The client will have to locate an email titled **“CICA LIFE OF AMERICA Authorization.”**
- The client will have to have their ZIP code available.
- The client will have to complete the process using a secure device and browser.
Step 1: Open the Authorization Email
The client will have to locate the email titled **“CICA LIFE OF AMERICA Authorization.”**
The client will have to select **“Click Authorization”** to open a secure browser window.
Step 2: Verify Identity
The client will have to enter their ZIP code when prompted. The zip code is the PIN needed for the payment authorization form.
The client will have to select **Continue**.
Step 3: Verification Confirmed
Once verification is successful, the client will have to select **Continue** to open the authorization document.
Step 4: Review the ACH Authorization Form (Page 1)
The client will have to review their banking and premium payment information for accuracy.
The client will have to select **Next** in the bottom-right corner to proceed.
Step 5: Review the ACH Authorization Form (Page 2)
The client will have to read the authorization text carefully.
The client will have to confirm the name and date fields are populated correctly.
The client will have to select **Next**.
Step 6: Consent to E-Signature
An e-signature disclosure will populate.
The client will have to select **Yes** to continue.
Step 7: Sign the Document
The client will have to select the blue signature box.
A signature box will pop up.
The client will have to select **Save and Sign**.
Step 8: Completion
A green **Completed** badge will appear once finished.
The client will have the option to download a copy of the authorization form.

**What if the client cannot find the authorization email?**
Advise the client to check spam or junk folders. If the email is still not located, escalate per standard support procedures.
**Is the client’s information secure?**
Yes. The authorization process uses a secure browser window and encrypted e-signature technology.
**Can the client access the form after signing?**
Yes. A download link is provided after completion.
